Free Tool · Stop repeating the same week

Why does the same stuff keep getting in my way?

Before you charge into another week, take a few minutes to look at what actually happened. The goal is not to grade yourself. It is to notice what worked, what kept pulling you away, and one thing you want to do differently next time.

The method

Work through the decision in order.

01

What did I actually move forward?

Write down the things you finished, improved, decided, or finally took action on. Give yourself credit for real progress.

02

What kept getting pushed back?

Notice the goal, task, conversation, workout, project, or decision that kept losing to everything else.

03

What kept getting in the way?

Was it interruptions, too much on your list, unclear priorities, low energy, avoidance, other people, or something you did not plan for?

04

What will I change next week?

Choose one adjustment. Do not create a giant new life plan. Fix one thing you can actually control.

05

What do I want to make progress on next?

Choose something you want to be able to look back on next week and say, 'I moved that.'

Write this down

  1. 01What am I proud I followed through on?
  2. 02What did I keep saying I would do but never got to?
  3. 03What distraction or pattern showed up more than once?
  4. 04What one change would make next week better?

You do not need a perfect week. You need to learn from the week you actually had. Take one lesson with you, choose what you want to move next, and come back.
